In the presence of Shahrukh Khan. Indian Academy Film Awards (IIFA) ceremony to be held in Abu Dhabi
The UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, continues to host the most prominent international events, as it is a destination for high-profile events in various fields, including the 24th Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) Awards, which will be hosted on Yas Island from 27 to 29 September.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be the main guest at the event, along with renowned director Karan Johar, and they will attend, along with some of the most prominent stars and musicians of Indian cinema, the three-day events, with the first day dedicated to celebrating the four Indian film industries, known as "IIFA UTSAVAM", while prizes will be distributed to the winners on the second day. The third day is dedicated to the winners of the IIFA ROCKS Music Industry Awards.
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his gratitude for being present annually at the IIFA event, and for it to be part of the history of this festival over the years, especially since the works of Indian cinema receive a great global resonance, and that he believes that the presence of international film stars on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi is evidence of the love, spread and acceptance of Indian art by audiences from around the world.
Director Karan Johar said he is very attached to the IIFA festival and is proud to be a key part of it, and that he is following the same path as his father, who has been the founder of the Indian Academy Film Awards since its inception.
Johar excited the audience for the performance he will present at the festival days, in partnership with international superstar Shah Rukh Khan, considering that the presence of Indian cinema in the Gulf region is an extension of its charm that has traveled all over the world.
Some of India's most important stars and celebrities are expected to be present at the Indian Academy Film Awards (IIFA), in addition to Shah Rukh Khan and Karen Johar, most notably: Kamal Hasan, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhat, Riteesh, Jinelia D'Souza, Sunny Kushal, Muni Roy, Vardeen Khan, Isha Gupta, Mernal Thakur, Diya Mirza, Rajesh Khanna, Sheba Chada, Neelam Kothari, Bhavna Pandey, Maheeb Kapoor, Sima Sajid, as well as some of the most prominent producers of Indian cinema, including: Boni Kapoor, Bhushan Kumar, Jayantilal Jada, Anis Bazmi and R. Madhavan.
This important art tourism event supports Yas Island's role as one of the world's leading tourist destinations, as well as contributing to the growth and economic diversification of the capital.
