Lady Gaga reveals more details of "Joker 2". and promote it in a new way

The anticipated film «Joker 2» is supposed to be shown in cinemas around the world on the fourth of next October, so it is not surprising that the stars of the work begin to intensify its promotion, including the star Lady Gaga, who shared a new «poster» for the work, through her account in «Instagram», during which she appeared with the star of the work Joaquin Phoenix, and they exchange mysterious looks at each other, while the poster carried the details of the film's presentation.

Gaga, 38, plays Harlene Lee Quinzel, a version of the supervillain Harley Quinn, starring opposite Joaquin Phoenix, 49, who reprises Arthur Flake and his alternate villain character Joker, an aspiring comedian in the psychiatric ward, after killing talk show host Robert De Niro live dressed as a clown.

On the features of the film, Gaga revealed something of it, during a press interview, in which she said: "There is music, there is dance, it is drama, it is also a court room drama, it is comedy, it is happy, it is sad," praising the director of the work Todd Phillips, where she stressed that the latter prefers to be creative, rather than just telling a traditional love story. Gaga added of Todd: "Todd took a very big step with this whole concept and with the script, which gave the sequel to 'Joker' boldness and complexity."

Phillips, 53, also provided more details about the musical aspect of the film, confirming that Phoenix and Gaga will sing and dance to classic tunes, such as "Get Happy," "For Once in My Life," and "That's Life," but at the same time stressing that he will not classify the film as strictly musical.

Phillips said most of the music in the film is just dialogue, and that Arthur doesn't have the words to say what he wants to say, so he sings them instead.

Todd said he didn't want people to think it's like "In the Heights," where the grocery store starts singing, they go out into the street, and the police dance, noting that he doesn't mean to offend any of the film's workers; he loves "In the Heights."

Regarding music, Gaga explained that audiences should not expect musical performances to be as in her pop career, noting that they asked themselves about what should be true, until two people start singing in the middle of a conversation.

Gaga said people may wonder where music comes from when only characters can hear it: Arthur and Lee are not professional singers and they shouldn't sound like they are.

The film is a sequel to the 2019 film "Joker," which grossed $1 billion at the box office.
